Privacy Policy

Updated October 17, 2026 · Good Business HQ LLC

Prayer Text helps you build a personal prayer rhythm. This policy explains what we store and why.

Information we use

We store your verified phone number, account identifier, reminder time and time zone, and the names and phone numbers of people you choose to add. The contact picker lets you choose a specific number; we do not upload your entire address book.

We store daily prayer assignments, confirmations, invitation and consent records, and message delivery information. Prayer activity can reveal religious interests. We use it to provide the service, not for advertising.

Messages and invitations

Personal invitations are reviewed and sent in Apple’s Messages composer using your selected sender identity. The recipient sees that identity. We cannot read your Messages history or verify delivery of the personal invitation.

Automatic reminders require your separate opt-in. Automatic encouragement requires the recipient’s own opt-in through a signed inbound JOIN text from the invited phone number. We retain the disclosure version, source, time, phone number, and relevant message identifier as consent evidence.

Encouragement omits the praying person’s name. It is not a guarantee of anonymity: recipients may recognize the invitation or infer who prayed for them.

Service providers

Supabase stores account and application data. Twilio handles sign-in and automatic SMS messages. Vercel hosts our public pages. These providers process data needed to deliver the service, including phone numbers, message content, IP addresses, and operational logs according to their services. Carrier and Apple messaging systems also process messages you send through them.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-app advertising. Your prayer list is not visible to other app users.

Storage and security

We use encrypted connections, access controls, and the iPhone Keychain for sign-in tokens. No system can promise absolute security. Invitation links contain random, expiring tokens rather than phone numbers or contact names. A link alone cannot authorize texts to another phone.

Your choices and deletion

You can pause or remove people, change reminder preferences, sign out, or delete your account in Settings. Deletion removes your profile, contacts, prayer assignments, and associated delivery jobs. We keep limited consent and opt-out evidence to honor messaging choices and resolve disputes. Providers may retain delivery logs and backups under their own retention policies; deletion from the app does not erase messages already received on phones.

Reply STOP to stop automatic messages. This does not remove you from someone’s private prayer list. To request access, correction, or removal of personal information, contact us. We may need to verify your number before acting.

Age and changes

Prayer Text is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly create accounts for children. We will update this page when our practices change.
